Umina Beach, is nestled on a natural peninsula just over 1 hours drive north of Sydney. Despite having a name that translates to “sleepy town” in Aboriginal, it boasts the biggest population on the Central Coast.
What you’ll find when you arrive in this beachside community, is a whole lot of fun, sun and sand, plus good old fashioned community feel. The people are friendly, the pace is laid back, and no two days ever have to be the same.

And when you do have to drag yourself away to work, a train ride is a smooth 40 minutes to Hornsby or 1.5 hours to Sydney.
Shopping at Umina Beach has a relaxed village vibe with everything to keep you stocked up nicely. There’s a Woolworths, Coles and Aldi supermarkets, speciality stores, a bunch of lovely beachside cafes and restaurants, and an upmarket Surf Club for quick tasty snacks.
Art lovers will love the movie theatre at nearby Ettalong Beach where each cinema is uniquely decorated in art deco, starlight, Italian or Mediterranean themes.
Local kids are well looked after at either Umina Public School or Brisbane Water Secondary College and the large family recreational family park with BBQ facilities is a popular spot to let loose on the weekends.
And romantics at heart won’t be able to resist the Palm Beach Ferry Service that takes you on one of the most picturesque water journeys in the world.
